The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) was granted approval from the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) and the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) to launch the Derivates Market.
The launch of the Derivates Market was a significant milestone in the growth and deepening of capital markets and the wider Kenyan economy. Furthermore, through the Derivatives Market, investors will be able to form expectations about underlying assets in order to the price risks.
NSE is now the second African exchange to offer exchange-traded derivatives, further cementing Kenya as a financial and investment hub.
